Earlier this year, we unveiled a fresh WhatsApp application designed for Windows desktop. Now, we’re extending this enhanced experience to Mac users as well.

The new WhatsApp app for Mac introduces several exciting features. For the first time on Mac, you can initiate group calls, supporting up to eight participants in video calls and up to 32 participants in audio calls. Additionally, you can now join ongoing group calls, access your call history, and opt to receive incoming call notifications even when the app is not active.

The app has been revamped to align with the familiar Mac user interface, enhancing your efficiency while using WhatsApp on a larger screen. You can conveniently share files by simply dragging and dropping them into a chat, and you’ll have greater access to your chat history.

Just like WhatsApp on any other device, WhatsApp for Mac ensures the security of your personal messages and calls through end-to-end encryption. You can try out this new app by downloading it now from WhatsApp.com, and it will soon be available on the App Store as well.
